Treadmill Assistant does NOT collect, transmit, or share your personal data with anyone. All your data stays on your device and your personal cloud account (iCloud or Google Drive).

Treadmill Assistant ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.
2. Data Collection
The App does NOT:
- Collect personal information
- Transmit data to external servers
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Share data with third parties
- Create user accounts
- Require registration or login
3. Data Storage
All data created by the App is stored:
- Locally on your device: In the App's private sandbox storage
- In your personal cloud account: If you enable cloud sync (iCloud on iOS, Google Drive on Android) — optional
Data stored includes:
- Workout history and statistics
- Custom workout programs you create
- App settings and preferences
- Equipment maintenance records
- Bluetooth device pairing history
4. Health Integration
If you enable health integration (Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android):
- You control exactly what data is shared through your device's health permissions
- Data is stored in your device's secure health database
- The App does not access health data beyond what you explicitly authorize
Data the App may write to your health platform after a completed workout:
- Exercise/workout session (type: walking or running)
- Distance traveled (from treadmill sensor)
- Calories burned (from treadmill, or estimated from heart rate and body metrics when available)
- Step count (from treadmill sensor)
Data the App may read from your health platform:
- Exercise/workout sessions (to prevent duplicate entries when syncing)
- Distance, calories, and step records (to clean up data if you delete a workout from the App)
- Weight (to calculate accurate calorie burn estimates and heart rate training zones)
Heart rate data is read directly from Bluetooth heart rate monitors connected to the App, not from your health platform.
The App does not read health data in the background. All reads occur while the App is actively in use.
Health data is managed by your device's health platform and governed by its respective privacy policies.
5. Subscription Data
If you purchase a Premium subscription:
- Payment processing: All payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The developer never receives, stores, or has access to your payment card details or financial information
- Subscription status: Your subscription status (active/inactive, expiration date) is stored securely on your device
- No external transmission: Subscription data is never transmitted to external servers
- Verification: Subscription status is verified directly with Apple's or Google's servers
Payment Processor
Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) acts as the payment processor. Your purchase and billing information is governed by their respective privacy policies.
6. Cloud Sync
If you enable cloud sync (iCloud on iOS, Google Drive on Android):
- Your workout data is synced to your personal cloud account
- This allows you to access your data across multiple devices
- Data is encrypted during transit and storage
- Only you have access to your cloud data
- You can disable cloud sync at any time in the App settings
Developer Access
The developer does NOT have access to your cloud data. On Android, data is stored in Google Drive's hidden App Data folder, accessible only by the App.
7. Bluetooth Communication
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your treadmill:
- Communication is direct between your device and treadmill
- No data is transmitted to external servers
- Device names and identifiers are stored locally for reconnection
8. Debug Logs
If you enable debug logging for troubleshooting:
- Logs are stored locally on your device
- Logs may contain technical data about Bluetooth communication
- You choose whether to export and share logs
- Logs are never automatically transmitted
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For subscription processing
- Apple Health / Health Connect: For workout data synchronization
- iCloud / Google Drive: For data backup and sync across devices
- Google Sign-In: On Android, for authenticating Google Drive access (no profile data is collected)
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
11. Data Retention
Your data is retained:
- On your device: Until you delete the App or clear its data
- In cloud storage: Until you disable sync or delete from iCloud / Google Drive
- In health platform: Managed through Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) settings
- Subscription status: Cached locally, refreshed from Apple or Google upon app launch
12. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: All your data is visible within the App
- Export: You can export workout history
- Delete: You can delete individual workouts or all data
- Portability: Data syncs to Apple Health or Health Connect (if enabled)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
